The University of North Carolina Wilmington Early Music Consort ensemble will perform a free concert inside Mattocks Hall at the North Carolina History Center. The performance is free and open to the public.
Specializing in chamber music of the Baroque era, the UNCW Early Music Consort brings inspiring, historically informed performances of early music throughout the state of North Carolina, and serves as a professional artistic model for music students at the high school and collegiate level. This faculty-community ensemble performs on the following period instruments: harpsichord, violin, flute, viola, oboe, double bass, and bassoon. Past programs include works by Vivaldi, Zelenka, Jacquet de la Guerre, Telemann, Scarlatti, Hasse, and Rameau.
